EU Research Facility conference on ‘Changing Places: Migration and Displacement in the Horn of Africa’

January 22 - January 23

The Research and Evidence Facility (REF) of the EU Emergency Trust Fund for Africa cordially invites you to participate in our forth coming regional forum, ‘Changing Places: Migration and Displacement in the Horn of Africa’ to be held in Nairobi on Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd January 2019 at the Trademark Hotel, Village Market, Nairobi.

Since 2016, REF has undertaken a range of studies on migration, displacement and development issues across the Horn of Africa Region (for details, please see www.soas.ac.uk/refhornresearch/) and has engaged with a wide range of researchers, universities, institutes, NGOs, government bodies, and regional organisations. This forum will bring together researchers, practitioners, policy makers and other key stakeholders to share findings and lessons learned, both from the REF and from other relevant studies, to debate their implications for practice and identify ongoing and emerging gaps in knowledge and understanding. There will also be a number of thought-provoking panels to enable key experts to reflect, share ideas and explore new pathways towards improving policy and practice relating to migration.

Please RSVP your attendance on SurveyMonkey by 11th January 2019 by using the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/8FH9KD3. Should you have any questions or require clarification concerning the venue and the forum, please contact Lavender Mboya at lavender@sahanresearch.net.
