Durable solutions basic technical training
In 2016, ReDSS develop a basic durable solution training package for practitioners and policy-makers in order to strengthen their knowledge and skills in terms of process and content on how to address durable solutions for displacement affected communities. The training content was developed under the guidance of a Steering Committee made up of IGAD, the World Bank regional office (for HOA), UNHCR and other regional, humanitarian and development donors, including DRC, IRC, NRC, Save the Children, Refugee Consortium Kenya and Inter-Aid Uganda.
The training package has been rolled out in different countries and contexts in the region. The training package is organized around 7 independent modules, each with ‘how’ to guides and facilitators notes providing flexibility to adapt and contextualize to the specific needs and contexts.
